Jonathan Wachtel

Attorney Wachtel spent his first six years of legal practice involved in complex civil litigation, and he gained extensive experience in intellectual property, products liability, personal injury and employment matters.  During that time, Attorney Wachtel also represented multiple clients defrauded by the embezzlement activities of employees and helped to recover more than eighteen million dollars for those clients through fidelity bond claims and other means.  For the next fifteen years, Attorney Wachtel took his practice in-house, when he served in various roles within the ServiceMaster family of companies.  His in-house career culminated in a six-year role as Vice President and General Counsel of TruGreen LandCare LLC, during which time Attorney Wachtel participated in the company’s acquisition by a private equity fund.  While in-house, Attorney Wachtel developed extensive experience handling a wide variety of matters, including contract drafting, review and negotiation, employment and subcontractor issues, claims and litigation management, risk management and insurance issues, environmental, regulatory and compliance issues, privacy and general business issues.  Thereafter, Attorney Wachtel returned to private practice and, in 2014, founded his own firm (The Law Offices of Jonathan Wachtel) based in Memphis, Tennessee that acts as “outside, in-house counsel” for various national and multinational corporations. In that capacity, Attorney Wachtel is able to leverage his many years of experience for the benefit of his clients.
